A new research has found that going on a holiday is good for your health.

It will lower your blood pressure, help you sleep better and reduces your stress.

Not only will you feel good while you are there, you will also reap the health benefits for months after that, the new research shows.

The research compared holidaymakers who visited Thailand, Peru and Maldives with those who stayed at home.

Holidaymakers: Stay At Home:

* blood pressure dropped by 6 per cent

* sleep quality improved by 17 per cent

* resilience to stress improved by 29 per cent


* 2 per cent increase in blood pressure

* 14 per cent deterioration in sleep quality

* 71 per cent reduction in ability to with stress


Reduced in blood pressure reduces your chance of stroke and heart attacks.

Better sleep is good for your immune system.

You will feel happier and more relaxed when you are less stressed.

Other reported improvements by holidaymakers are decreases in blood sugar levels, improved in body shape and improved in energy and mood.

When you select the right kind of holiday for yourself, it may lower your stress levels, improve your resilience to stress and at the same time improved your mental and physical health.

Ensure that you plan your holidays carefully.

Working hard is important but do take or find time to rest and recuperate.
