Higher testosterone may equal lower heart risks

This may be great news to elderly men, Reuters recently published an article on the advantage of having higher natural testosterone in elder men. 
 
Elderly men with naturally higher levels of testosterone are less likely to suffer a heart attack or stroke than those men with lower levels of the hormone, according to a study done by Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Goteborg, Sweden.

 
But, JoAnn Manson, chief of preventive medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, who is not involved in the study points out that there are other contributing factors other than Testosterone alone.

 
So, all you elderly men out there who experience low Testosterone level do not rush to boost your Testosterone level with Testosterone replacement therapy.

 
The trials are still ongoing and the results are mixed on whether Testosterone replacement in older men prevents the risk of heart disease and stroke.
